South Hancock (4319')
The Hancocks are a great set of peaks. Easily accessible just off the Kancamagus Highway just before the famous hairpin turn and very close to the Osceola Trailhead. A perfect day hike length, two peak, good views into the Pemi to the North.
*Be very careful crossing the road*
The parking area is on the inside of the hairpin and the trailhead is on the outside.
Park at the Hancock Trailhead Parking Area and cross the street to the Trailhead
Take the Hancock Notch Trail for 1.8 mi.
Take a Left (North) onto the Brooks Trail for 0.7 mi.
Take a Right (NorthEast) onto the Hancock Loop Trail for 1.1 mi.
Take a Right (South East) and you'll arrive at the summit after 0.5 mi.
*If doing both Hancocks I suggest starting with South Hancock and looping around to Hancock on the Loop Trail*
