Mount Passaconaway (4043')

Mount Passaconaway comes in at 4043' placing it right between #41: Mount Moriah and #43 Owl's Head. Passaconaway means "child of the bear" and is named for one of the central Native figures in New Hampshire colonial history.

Parking Areas:

 

Park at the Oliverian Brook Trailhead off of the Kancamangus Highway

Take the Oliverian Brook Trail (easy) for 1.9 mi. 

Take a left (Southwest) onto the Passaconaway Cutoff Trail (moderate) and continue for 1.7 mi.

Take a right (West) onto the Square Ledge Trail and continue for 0.8 mi.

Take a right (North) and continue for 0.6 mi. to the summit of Passaconaway
