


The Madison Spring Hut
Mount Madison (5367')
The 5th highest peak in the White Mountains, Madison is a great peak for anyone spending time in the Presidential Range. It's rocky approach is otherworldly.
*Note: Dolly Copp Road is closed in Winter*
Parking Areas:
- The Presi Range is criss-crossed with many different trails and summits. You're going to want to keep your map handy and really pay attention.
- The Presi Range is rugged and rocky. Give yourself plenty of time on these hikes.
- Mt. Washington is called "the home of World's Worst Weather" for a reason. It can go from a bright sunny day to a downpour and back in a matter of minutes. BE PREPARED!
Trail Notes:
Park at the Daniel Webster Trailhead parking area
Take the Daniel Webster Scout Trail (moderate difficulty) for 3.5 mi.
Take a right (North West) onto the Osgood Trail 0.5 mi.
Arrive at the summit of Mt. Madison
