Mount Lincoln (5089')

Lincoln is dead center on the Franconia Ridge if you are doing the Haystack to Lafayette traverse. It is one of the higher peaks in the Whites and offers incredible views of both the Kinsman Ridge to the West and the Pemi Wilderness to the East.

Parking Areas:

Park at the Lafayette Place Parking Area on Route 93

At the end of the approach trail turn right (South) onto the Falling Water Trail.

If it is Spring or Winter make sure to bring microspikes or crampons because it can be slick! (check trail reports above)

Continue on the Falling Water Trail for 3.0 mi. to the summit of Mount Little Haystack

Turn left (North) onto the Franconia Ridge Trail. Hike 0.7 mi. on the ridge to the summit of Mount Lincoln

 

Most Direct Route:

 

 

 

 

 

Consider traversing the Franconia Ridge and coming down The Old Bridle Path from Mt. Lafayette back to your car at the base!
