Mount Liberty (4459')

A favorite of many in the White Mountains. Mount Liberty is a party of the very popular Franconia Ridge and only 0.3 mi. from the Appalachian Trail and 1.1 mi. along the ridge from Mt. Flume.

Parking Areas:

Park at Liberty Springs Trailhead parking area.

Take the Liberty Springs Trail for 0.6 mi.

Continue on the Liberty Springs Trail to the the left (East) at the junction for 2.3 mi. to the ridge.

Turn right (South) onto the Franconia Ridge Trail and hike 0.3 mi. to the summit of Mt. Liberty

Flume is within 1.1 mi. of the summit of Mt. Liberty, however you should note that The Flume Slide is a very rugged trail if you plan on taking it back down to the parking area.
