Mount Adams (5774')

Second only to Mt. Washington in height Mount Adams is truly one of the crown jewels of the White Mountains. There are many different routes to get to Mt. Adams and is a favorite peak for those doing a Presidential Traverse.

Parking Areas:

  1. The Presi Range is criss-crossed with many different trails and summits. You're going to want to keep your map handy and really pay attention.
  2. The Presi Range is rugged and rocky. Give yourself plenty of time on these hikes.
  3. Mt. Washington is called "the home of World's Worst Weather" for a reason. It can go from a bright sunny day to a downpour and back in a matter of minutes. BE PREPARED!

 

 

Trail Notes:

 

Park at the Lowes Path Parking Area

Take the Lowes Path for 1.7 mi. 

At the trail junction continue South East on the Lowes Path for 2.0 mi.

Pay close attention at the various trail crossings along the way. stay on Lowes Path.

Turn left (East) onto the Gulfside Trail

Summit Mt. Adams after 0.3 mi on the Gulfside Trail
